About Advanced PDF Suite

Twenty PDF tools in one place, all running in your browser: merge and split files, reorder, rotate and delete pages, sign a document, add a watermark or page numbers, edit metadata and flatten forms. Convert PDF to Word, images or text and back, read scanned pages with OCR, and optionally ask an AI assistant about a document using your own OpenAI or Anthropic key.

How to Use

1

Choose a tool

Pick what you want to do, such as Merge PDFs, Organize pages or Sign. Each tool explains what it keeps and what it changes.

2

Add your files

Drop PDFs, images or Word files onto the page, or browse. Set any options, like the pages to keep or the watermark text.

3

Run and download

Run the tool and download the result. Several outputs come together as a ZIP, and "Add to files" passes a result on to another tool.

Privacy & Processing

  • Mode: hybrid
  • Files Leave Browser: Selected data may be sent to a service or peer
  • Max Input Size: 100 MB per file
  • Account Required: No
  • Data Stored Locally: Only the AI assistant's provider, model and API key are saved (in the same place as the earlier version of this tool; "Remove key" deletes it). Your files are never stored. The browser caches the OCR language data after the first download.
  • Network Processing: Required for connected features

Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded. OCR downloads its engine and language data from the jsDelivr CDN on first use. The optional AI assistant sends the document text and your question to OpenAI or Anthropic only when you ask it something; your API key stays in this browser.

Rules & Limitations

  • Files up to 100 MB each.
  • Password-protected PDFs can be read, but tools that change a PDF can't save them. Remove the password first.
  • Word conversions keep the text only; layout, images and fonts are not kept.
  • OCR needs an internet connection the first time, to download its engine and language data.

  • Signing a contract or form without printing it
  • Reading the text of a scanned letter with OCR

Advanced PDF Suite FAQ

How do I merge PDF files into one?

Choose Merge PDFs and add two or more PDFs. Drag them into the order you want (you can also rotate or duplicate a file), then press Merge PDFs to download one combined PDF.

Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?

No. The tools run in your browser, so your files stay on your device. OCR downloads its engine and language data from the jsDelivr CDN the first time (your PDF is not sent), and the optional Ask AI tool sends the document's text and your question to OpenAI or Anthropic, using your own API key, only when you ask something.

Can I convert a PDF to Word?

Yes. PDF → Word saves the text as an editable .docx, but only the text: layout, images and fonts are not kept. A scanned PDF has no text to copy, so use OCR scan instead, which reads English, Hindi, Spanish, French or German and saves the text as a .txt file.

How do I convert JPG images to PDF?

Choose Images → PDF, add PNG or JPEG images and drag them into order. Each image becomes one page at its own size, phone photos stay upright, and Create PDF downloads a single PDF.

Can I reduce the size of a PDF?

Partly. Optimize PDF removes unused data and repacks the file without touching quality, but it does not recompress images, so scanned and photo-heavy PDFs may shrink little; if the result is not smaller, you get your original back. The PDF Compressor in the Universal Conversion Suite recompresses the JPEG photos inside a PDF and can aim for a size in MB.

How do I sign a PDF online?

Choose Sign (eSign), draw your signature with a mouse, pen or finger or type your name, then click or drag to place it on a page and set its size before you download the signed PDF. This adds an image of your signature, not a certificate-based digital signature.
