Results are shown to at most 10 significant digits; whole numbers, such as bytes in a gibibyte, are shown in full.
A bigha is a different size in each state, so four common sizes are listed with their square-foot value. Check the value your land record uses.
Cup, teaspoon and tablespoon are metric (250, 5 and 15 ml). US cups, pints and gallons and UK gallons are listed separately.
Data has both decimal units (kB, MB, GB: 1,000 bytes per step) and binary units (KiB, MiB, GiB: 1,024 bytes per step), plus bits for internet speeds.
The download time is size divided by speed, with no allowance for network overheads.

Unit Converter FAQ

How many square feet are in a gaj or square yard?

One square yard (gaj) is exactly 9 square feet, or 0.83612736 square metres. A guntha is 1,089 sq ft and a cent is 435.6 sq ft.

What is the difference between KB and KiB?

A kilobyte (kB) is 1,000 bytes and a kibibyte (KiB) is 1,024 bytes. Drive makers, internet providers and macOS use the 1,000 units, while Windows and RAM sizes use 1,024 but often label them KB, MB and GB. That is why a 1 TB drive shows as about 931 GB in Windows.

How do I convert Mbps to MB per second?

Divide by 8: internet speeds are in megabits, and a byte has 8 bits, so 100 Mbps is 12.5 MB/s. Choose the Data category and convert Megabit to Megabyte, or use the download time box.

How big is a bigha?

It depends on the state. This tool lists four common sizes: West Bengal and Assam (14,400 sq ft), Gujarat (17,424 sq ft), Uttar Pradesh (27,000 sq ft) and the Rajasthan pucca bigha (27,225 sq ft). Local values can differ even within a state.

How many grams is one tola?

One tola is 11.6638038 grams (180 grains). Ten tola are about 116.64 grams, a little more than the 10 grams jewellers often quote as a "tola" today.
